Internship Opportunities at Joel Warady Group

At the Joel Warady Group, we believe that no single individual possesses all of the answers. Our company culture is one of collaboration, sharing of ideas, and experimentation. We truly believe in the philosophy that it is better to try and fail, than never to try at all.

About Us : Biography - Ivy Shreteva

Ivy Shreteva
Intern

"What I value the most about this internship is the extremely useful hands-on experience that the Joel Warady Group provided me with. I never felt like an intern, never went on coffee runs or did mundane time-wasting tasks. I felt like a full-time employee who was given challenging and creative tasks that actually influenced the way we, as a group, approach marketing. I honestly felt more like a full-time employee than during the time I was actually employed full-time. My co-workers solicited my opinion and ideas, were interested in my take on problems, and made me feel as an autonomous, yet dependent part of their team. In addition, the work environment was relaxed, collaborative, and fun, and I got to meet not only some great professionals in the field but also, some very interesting and genuine people."

Ivy is originally from Bulgaria (and she is very attached to that part of her personality!). She is currently a junior at Northwestern University, majoring in Communication Studies, Sociology, International Studies and working towards obtaining the Integrated Marketing Certificate.

Prior to attending Northwestern, Ivy held a full-time position in an advertising agency in Bulgaria. While there she enjoyed the dynamic and creative atmosphere. She believes that the difference of opinion is one of the most essential aspects of innovation, and hopes to bring a lot of perspective to the Joel Warady Group. During her internship she is looking to gain a new angle of looking at Marketing, Management and Advertising.

Raised in Madison, WI, Seoul, Korea, and West Bloomfield, MI, Liz has always been amazed by the crucial yet often perplexing role of communication across cultures. Liz has just finished her junior year at Northwestern University, where she is studying Economics and Communication Studies. Liz desires to find a balance between analytical and mathematical studies and the sometimes less concrete but equally influential behavioral studies.

At Northwestern, Liz is complementing her studies by serving as the Vice President of the School of Communication Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta, which strives to strengthen the community of the school and push the School of Communication to become a more vital presence in the Northwestern community at large.

Liz is excited to be a part of Joel Warady Group this summer because she believes that Joel Warady Group’s philosophy will give her insight into the dynamic and rapidly changing marketing industry and is positive that she will gain valuable skills and knowledge that she will be able to utilize in her future career.

"Having an 'Ah-Ha Moment' is something that really sticks with you.  The team was able to pull my head out of the books and make me think more creatively.  They showed me that as a marketer I am able to express my professional opinion to provide an answer, something never said in school because in order to get an A, it is required to cite and prove every statement one makes from some old guy in a book.  That is a very liberating feeling to know that you have your own answer."

Jonathon is from Traverse City, Michigan. He grew up with a big city heart and felt the need to get out and see bigger and better things. After graduating at the top of his class he packed his bags and moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University where he is currently a sophomore pursuing an Economics major.
